Rhode Island's Behavioral Health Network for Home and Community Based Services. Our Horizon Healthcare Partner's include Community Care Alliance, Thrive Behavioral Health, Division, Tides Family Services, and Comprehensive Community Action Program.

In RI, only three community mental health organizations--Newport Mental Health, Community Care Alliance, and Thrive Behavioral Health met the federal standard of excellence to be designated as a Community Behavioral Health Clinic.

Administered by the US Dept. of Health and Human Services, the National Standards for Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services in Health and Health Care (The National CLAS Standards) advance health equity, improve quality, and help eliminate health care disparities by establishing a blueprint for health and health care organizations to provide effective, equitable, understandable, and respectful quality care and services that are responsive to diverse cultural health beliefs and practices, preferred languages, health literacy, and other communication needs.

Newport County Community Mental Health Center (NCCMHC) is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities and Hospitals and is a Medicare and Medicaid provider.
NCCMHC is also fully accredited by The Joint Commission. The Joint Commission has been acknowledged as the leader in developing the highest standards for quality and safety in the delivery of health care, and evaluating organization performance based on these standards. Horizon Pharmacy is a statewide specialized pharmacy where consumers receive packaged medications for psychotropic and physical health needs.
Community Health Center Accountable Care Organization
is a Medicaid accountable entity. comprised of three R.I. mental health centers and six community health centers.
