Experience: Director of Behavioral Health with over 30 years of demonstrated experience working in the behavioral health and health care industries. Skilled in nonprofit organizational management, social services, crisis intervention and case management leadership at all levels of care to include hospital, residential, community based and outpatient. Strong integrated healthcare and behavioral healthcare services professional with population health management experience, designing behavioral health services across integrated teams in RI and MA.
Extensive history working with the SPMI and SED populations leading mobile treatment teams and evidenced based programs. Managed the RI Alternative to Sentencing Trauma Recovery (RIASTR) program and SAMHSA Grant, and the Court Diversion Program at the Kent County Courthouse. Experienced Emergency Services Director working in partnership with the Trauma, Addiction, Mental Health and Recovery (TAMAR) Program and local police departments. Trauma Informed Care Trainer- Selected and trained through the SAMSHA Policy Research Associates.
A member of the Reentry Council advised at the policy level. An active contributor to the WPD Mental Health Crisis Response Team. Managed the Kent Hospital emergency services program that provided 24 hour emergency evaluations to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis as well as the 24-hour crisis triage line. Also managed the MRT and DBT programs in conjunction with Pre Trial Services.
