Preparing for Your Visit

First, congratulations. You've taken the first step. Know that NCCMHC is dedicated to your recovery. In addition, we KNOW that positive change is possible for you.

Our team of therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff work together to help you determine your own unique path of recovery. We believe that recovery is a collaborative journey, one that focuses on your particular needs and lifestyle. That’s why NCCMHC helps you from the moment you walk into to our Weekday Walk-In with no appointments necessary from 9-2 Monday through Friday. We also work with existing centers in the area to get you the personalized care you deserve.

*Sliding Scale: In accordance with Newport Mental Health policy, a sliding fee scale system is in place to adjust costs based on your ability to pay. If you need assistance, feel free to ask our billing department or the receptionist at the front desk. (See the chart at bottom of page).

Missed Appointments: Newport Mental Health requires a 48-hour notice for appointment cancellation. Two missed appointments within a six-month period may result in termination of NMH services

Insurance and Billing: NCCMHC accepts all state and commercial insurance plans along with Medicaid. All major credit cards, Visa and MasterCard, accepted.

Right to report to Joint Commission: All Newport Mental Health staff, clients and community members can raise concerns regarding safety and the quality of care we provide to The Joint Commission when the agency has not adequately prevented or corrected problems that can have or have had a serious adverse impact on individuals served. NMH shall not take retaliatory or punitive action against any employee, person served, or community member for their report to The Joint Commission.  Click here:

No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay

*The Sliding Fee Scale (Standard Fees) has been design to provide comprehensive behavioral health care services to children, adults and families which are uninsured and underinsured through establishing fees that are affordable as well as in accordance with state and federal requirements.
